I'd like to take a moment to share our experience w/ Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral... Home- Mt. Washington. The director, Connor, and his staff were top notch. They were patient as we were forced to make what felt like a million decisions immediately following a devastating loss, communicated well via phone call, text, & email, were available to us at any time, made sure everything went according to plan, etc. & did so all while being very sensitive to our grieving needs. We felt very comfortable leaving our beloved family member in their hands & that's the greatest compliment I feel you can give a funeral home. We are so thankful for Connor & his crew & as a way of saying thank you, want them to have the review/recommendation they deserve.read more

I cannot thank the team at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home enough for the care... and support they provided while taking care of my brother Chad this past week. Vickie Lawson far exceeded our expectations in the handling of every aspect of the visitation... and funeral for my mother, Jeanne Fitzgerald, and did so with true compassion. Vickie was attentive to all of our needs and continued to be after the service until all business was taken care of. Vicki was wonderful and really did take care of everything. The facility was comfortable and... accommodated everyone that came through to pay their respects to my mother. From start to finish Vicki handled it all and I could not be more pleased with how it all turned out. Everything was a beautiful tribute and I will be forever grateful to all the good people that took care of my mother with respect to the very last second of the day. My aunts services were held here at S,U,&B and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the... service. It was a hard time for our family but it made things easier knowing she was well taken care of there. The establishment was very clean, the staff was always ready if needed and they were on top of things. Very spacious and you never feel crowded there. I am thankful for their hospitality. My beloved brother's service took place at the Mt Washington funeral home. I was most... impressed by the consistent service and care in all categories. From the beautiful, clean, and spacious building to the careful emotional support through all of the tasks. The loss of my brother was unexpected. However, the able staff were able to hand-hold us through it all. They produced a well-made lovely bookmark with his obituary and picture on it that I continue to keep close at hand. It reminds me of their good intentions and thoughtfulness long after the service was over. Thank you for everything!read more

Schoppenhorst has an amazingly kind, efficient, and professional staff. They provided... outstanding service from making arrangements and all the way through the memorial service. Alyssa along with all of the other staff were very kind and attentive and made a difficult time losing a loved one less stressful. The funeral home itself is well maintained and beautiful and they took great care in all of the details of the memorial service, including the picture video, obituary cards, and prayer cards. My Mother was precious to me I would not took her any where else. They took care of my family... there.The facility is immaculate and just huge. They are best in the Louisville area my opinion.Maureen is a Angel. I felt great comfort knowing she was taking care of my Mother. Thank you to Clayton, Billy Roy, Anglea and many more staff. I was first introduced to this Funeral Home In 2006 when my Best friend past away in a... horrific automobile accident. I was so impressed with the true miracle that they were able to do on her to keep her the beautiful person she was. My parents were so impressed that they decided to use them as well I lost her in 2012 and once again they performed great magic on her and helped us the family like no other Funeral Home that my family has ever used. I lost my dad Tuesday January 11 2022 and I would be absolutely lost without the great staff. They also again performed magic to get my DAD to look like himself without the bruises and stuff that he endured before his passing. I have all kinds of extended family that has used this Funeral Home aswell with the same professional and above and beyond love and care that they offer. I have never heard anyone say a bad word about them. And the cost is probably the cheapest around.read more

We were extremely please with this facility and staff, A loved one passed away, having always... dealt with Schoppenhorst Underwood and Books in Shepherdsville, we needed something in Mt Washington, so we contacted the facility and could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the facility, from the time we walked in the door we felt at peace, Angie and all the staff were always there to help every step of the way. giving the time and attention to every detail. We were presented with many options never rushed and helped with all the preparations needed during this tough time and followed through to the end.All the staff from the beginning by finding every easel available to hold picture boards, to greeting guest as they walked in the door, the beautiful piano as you walk in is not only for show, as we greeted guest we realized someone was playing softly in the back ground, every detail was perfect. We could not have asked for better service in honor of our loved ones memorial.As we care for another loved one, there is no other option when it comes to where we will honor their life in the near future.read more
